Connor Scott
Connor Scott joined Christ Church Cathedral March 1, 2024, bringing a robust resume as an organist and choral conductor at numerous churches, several of them Episcopal.
He earned his Bachelor of Music Education, Choral Music, from Webster University in St. Louis, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 grade point average and earning numerous awards. He attained a Master of Music Education degree from the Conservatory of the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a 4.0 GPA, and he is a doctoral candiate of musical arts in choral music at the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music, where he has completed course work toward a degree expected in 2025.
He was blessed to have had the very best organ instructor possible in CCC Canon Precentor Emeritus William ‘Pat’ Partridge, learning and growing on our Cathedral organ bench. He served as choir director at Parkway Northeast Middle School for two years and choir director and music department chair at Parkway South High School for three years, increasing enrollment in the program by 40 percent.
Connor describes himself as a choral conductor, organist, educator, baritone and musicologist. He has a contagious love for God’s beloved people, a pastoral heart, and an unshakeable joy in the music that brings us into the very presence of God.
