‘Reparations: A Plan for Churches’

The Cathedral’s Pursuing Racial Justice ministry’s Spring 2024 Big Read project, in keeping with their theme of “Repair/Reparation/Beloved Community” chose to read and discuss “Reparations: A Plan for Churches” by Peter Jarrett-Schell.

Jarrett-Schell serves as the chair of the Reparations Task Force of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and is the rector of Calvary Episcopal Church, a historically Black congregation in DC. You can read more about it here.

The final book discussion for this spring’s Big Read: “Reparations: A Plan for Churches” by Peter Jarrett-Schell will be on June 9 during Adult Formation, a hybrid event at 9:10 a.m. — which coincides with the visitation of Bishop Deon Johnson. Join in person in the second floor Tech Hub or via Zoom.
